Running Your Soul

Life is so precious, so precious to me
There was a time when I was blind
And could not see -
That I was so focused on this and that,
stuff that was not that important,
And that's a fact.
When I take the time to stop and realize,
It's not about what I can see with my eyes.
It's all about the spirit,
The Holy Spirit that is,
who leads us and guides us and
Let's us know how it T-I-is!
He will never leave us, not knowing
what to do,
he is the comforter, you know,
He'll see us through.
It took me a while to get into that frame of mind,
To know and to trust, that He would do it all in time.
His time, not mine, that's what I had to except.
It caused me to contemplate, slow down my steps.
I needed to feel, see and hear, what God had in store,
'Cause on my own, I definitely couldn't do more.
As a matter of fact, I've done more damage than good
Which is usually what happens
when your head is like wood.
Step back people, allow God to take control
Let Him be the one… who is running your soul
