Speak Life

I'm told to speak life
In various situations
Yet I'm so bombarded with strife
Even in peace I yield to frustration

How can I speak life?
When death's all around me
The stench you can cut with a knife
This ain't how it's supposed to be

Where's this miracle cure
Who'll change this heart of stone?
Where's the one so pure
Ain't all the hero's gone

Who died for me?
Or is this just some story
So much I wish to see
Who supposed to get all this glory

Where's the one who'll testify?
Who can show me the way?
So many walk a straight out lie
So many have gone astray

This is something I need to know
For my time seems to be running out
What must I do, where do I go
Who are they really talking about?

Until then, I live in fear
My soul's in such strife
Once it's all been made clear
Then maybe I can learn to speak life
