God's Rainbows

Dear friends, I'd always heard that there was
a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow.
I found that the Lord didn't make them
for that reason, so now you also know.

It's God's promise to us - that He
would never flood the whole Earth again.
God wants us to enjoy the spectrum of light
with all the colors that He put in them.

I've been fortunate to be at the end of a rainbow
the colors beamed covering everything around.
It was so spectacular that it nearly took
my breath away, that is what I found.

I spent 40 years on the water
making my living that way.
God gave me the blessing to be
in the end of a rainbow one day.

When God sees His rainbows He remembers
never to destroy the Earth again by water.
That's fine with me.
Rainbows are given for us to look at -
God's beautiful colors all for free.
