Satisfied

You've gotten Salvation, and you've been on fire,
But the fire is "too hard to maintain."
You've seen amazing things from the Hand of God,
But your desire from Him doesn't remain.
It's as if the Lord can't excite you enough,
Or as if He doesn't reward,
As if you can't stand with Him strengthening,
As if the trials, you couldn't afford.

When you don't have any opposition,
When the devil doesn't have to strike back,
You must wonder truly if you're on the Way,
Or if you've slidden off track.
You sit in church and don't strive for more,
When the glory has gone and died,
You feel as if you've shriveled up,
When you've become satisfied.
