HOMEWARD bound

Feather in the air ...
Sent on your own
Separated from your host of home
Shaken freely from, the One you've loved
With a trusting faith, of what's to come
From a floating freedom-Timeless drift
To a new-found place, securely fit
Finding rest aboard-This well worn brim
A protection from that wayward wind ...
Joined; now here, my days complete
God's Spirit-Victor of that day's defeat
Though; that I''ve, wondered ...
And just where from, had you come?
You who flew so strong, so high-
Far above, all mountain's peak did soar!
Side by side, entrusted wisdom of the wind
Cutting boundaries, piercing deep the air of sin
Waylaid! By cunning currents; "evil air"
Betrayed-Cast out
Alone, aloft! In deep despair
Left floating ... State of neutral plight
No more the sky of boundless flight
Now assigned to find the valley's rest
Such a foreign place to end this test
So once lost; here now complete!
Found in my path companions meet
To accompany me-New Life, behold
To a better place in time foretold
With new boundless winds of faith
With new journeys', leveled path
Safeway beyond God's coming wrath
And boldly passing by that "evil air"
Standing strong and steady, this new pair
Heading back to where our time allows
Keeping hat on straight, hands to the plow
Sowing gifts of Grace; for the "Harvest Day"
Creating bonds of Love, along the way
While learning how to live for another day?
That's found in Christ, if living in His way
So; live what Love brings ... Or, cling tight sin's noose
For it's your free choice ... Walking free or "swing"
All reminders of the time we've not ...
"So hold fast will I"... "Homebound feather."
While attached; this well-worn-brimmed hat?
