Cover Me

Lost jewel, me have you found
No more lost no longer bound
As the earth of my past life hides me away
You came and uncovered me
Into your hands I gently lay
Black opal encased in Black gold I will always display
Only you have cherished my beauty
Only you have allowed me to embrace my worth
I silently whisper to your soul
To cover me
Cover my beauty with your love
Cover my worth I do trust
This world of thieves seek my destruction
Cover me my love with your unconditional affection
I long to be the jewel in your crown
Cover me as Christ covers the Church
Lay your life down for me as Christ did the Church
