TO KNOW THE LORD
O Lord,
to know You with every fiber of
my being is my heart's deepest
aspiration;
to be in Your perfect will
glowing
like a beacon on a high hill
unhidden
unafraid
unashamed
to proclaim to a hurting world
the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ,
the power of God unto salvation
promised
to whosoever will believe,
is that place I desire to be.
O Lord,
what manner of love is this
unsearchable
that knowledge cannot fathom?
If I would but open my mouth
I know my heart would speak
the truth
as I trust
as I hope to know
and be known of You.
