Allegiance (A poem for culture day)

I pledge allegiance to a flag that is not
Red, white, blue, yellow, black, or green

I pledge allegiance to a flag that does not
Make me stand to attention with my hand on my chest

I pledge allegiance to a flag that does not
Stand on buildings or even on the moon

I pledge allegiance to a flag that cannot
Be half-staff or half mask by man

I pledge allegiance to a flag that does not
Divide or create pride

I pledge allegiance to flag that does not
Create civil unrest

I pledge allegiance to a flag that brought
About change and removed the veil

I pledge allegiance to a flag that is
Power red because of the blood shed

I pledge allegiance to a flag where a Father's Son
Was killed and made everyone and everything stand still

I pledge allegiance to a flag because
One man paid the price and became a sin offering

I pledge allegiance to a flag that makes me bow
And the enemy runs from dread

I pledge allegiance to a flag that is not seen
But is written on the hearts of all who believe

I pledge allegiance to a flag that reminds me
To live is Christ and to die is gain

I pledge allegiance to a flag that reminds me
By His strips we are healed

I pledge allegiance to a flag where there is only one
True bright and shining Star that reigns above all stars

I pledge allegiance to God our Father and
The Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.
