Whom can I send

To remove weeds and plant seeds in this garden
To toil this land in preparation for its season of harvest
To feed those in need and give them shelter and rest
To fetch water and fill those who thirst,
To ensure they are blessed
Whom can I send, whom can I send

I am watching but you're not watching me
I am talking but you don't talk to me
I am listening but you won't listen to me
I am hearing but you can't hear me
I am calling but you won't call me
I am responding but you don't respond to me
I am waiting yet you can't wait on me
Whom can I send, whom can I send

To prepare the way for time is close at hand
To pass the message without contamination
To tell those in need there is no condemnation
To walk those dark streets and bring light
To those in need of salvation
Whom can I send, whom can I send

I am looking just like the days of old
I am looking for I know those who will be sold
I am looking for I know who will be exposed
I am looking for those who desire to fulfil the call
I am looking for those who know the cost of it all
I am looking for those who are ready in and out of season
I am looking for those with no excuses and no reasons
I am looking, I am looking
For time is at hand, for time is at hand
Whom can I send, whom can I send, for I am looking.
