Humbled

You did things great, your life planned out right,
went to college, graduated with honors,
got a job; worked your way up the corporate ladder.
I tossed and turned, did things wrong,
went to college too,
using a variety of student loans.
I graduated with honors,
went from job to job,
not totally satisfied,
this behavior dragged on for years,
until I realized I stay in tears.
You're successful;
got material possessions,
own a couple of houses,
have a few cars, you are debt-free,
have your choice of partners,
a real white-collar kinda brotha.
You think I made wrong choices,
I can admit I did.
You still aint better than me,
regardless of your positive choices.
I know who I am in Christ.
The possessions are great,
society can see your wealth,
but don't mock me or think I'm not worthy,
one day you too, can be brought to your knee.
