Oh, you say you'd be there with him-you'd be standing toe to toe,
Staring down those other ten tribes-telling them, "I want to know:
"If the Lord is on our side when have we ever lost a fight?
"We could be tasting milk and honey by tonight!"
Well is that so?
When your Christian brother stands before the church to tell his plan
To meet some need or ministry that that you don't understand,
Do you sit there with your head down telling yourself in your pew?
"There's really not a thing that we can do."
Why don't you stand beside your brother and let the others know
That the God who's speaking through him makes an awful fearsome foe?
"If the Lord is on our side, when have we ever lost a fight?
"We could be reaping heaven's blessings by tonight!"
Old Joshua and Caleb stood alone there on that day,
And the congregation wandered-forty years they had to pay!
They doubted what the Lord had shown to these two chosen men-
They missed the promised land because of sin!
Oh, join your Christian brothers and stand there toe to toe.
Stare down those unbelievers-telling them, "I want to know?
"If the Lord is on our side, when have we ever lost a fight?"
Oh, the taste of milk and honey's out of sight!
You could be tasting milk and honey by tonight!
