An Angel Was Sent

An angel was sent
on that warm summer day.
How I knew it even then
I can't find the words to say.
The angel was missing a few feathers
on his shimmering silver wings,
but it was the message he brought
To teach us all good things.
His feather were soft
like smooth velvet dreams
and his voice had the lilt
Of dancing moon beams.
He robe smelled like the fresh ocean breeze
His had was outstretch as he handed me the keys.
When he spoke
I could hear
of what was to come
the wisdom to seek Truth
Of God and his beloved Son.
Angels are messengers from heaven above
about hope
about kindness
And most of all love.
The next time you feel a soft gentle wind
touch a butterfly
or simply feel peace
and angel has been sent to show you the way
as I was blessed on that warm August summer day.
