Widow

When the widows strength is lost
Her daughters come with empty thoughts
And bring the dead one back to life
And mock the pain until the night

But when the rays of day grow dim
She will again remember him
And though his bones lie in the ground
He comes to haunt her even now

And when at last the dawn arrives
She brushes all her fears aside
To face the day alone in thought
When the widows strength is lost
