God's Love for Me

Ujamaa Christian Poetry

I followed the star to the manger,
Walked with Jesus through Galilee,
Sold Him for a handful of silver,
Crucified Him on Calvary.
He was sealed in the tomb of another;
He arose again the third day;
Then He ascended to Heaven,
To prepare for that great Judgement Day.

Through life I have faithfully followed
The will of Jesus the King.
The best I can give is not worthy
To deserve the love of my Lord.
Through His love I will enter the kingdom,
But amazement still fills my soul,
How God could love such a sinner
To send Jesus to save my soul.
