Come As You Are

I raise my hands in praise,
for protection in these last days.
For wisdom, and strength in the
changing of my old ways.
I come before you stained with
confusion, and sin.
With hope to began, again.
For your love, and peace that it
may shine from within.
Though unworthy, I've been shown
mercy. Been taught humility,
in my quest for serenity.
My eyes' and ears' have been opened,
so that I may see and hear clearly.
Blessed with your words, so that I
may speak it as poetry.
I journey with open arms to embrace
the morning star.
Fearful and unprepared, yet it is written
come as you are.
