How do I know I'm not showing my age by acting on my feelings of these 22 years
How do I know I'm not the chosen one to carry my family to the next on these very same tears
You may look at me and wonder where I get my maturity
But at night I break down and question my own security
They look at me with such confidence and pride
So I have to keep smiling and keep my true feelings inside
See, if I told you what I thought and what I felt
You yourself would question the very hand you were dealt
Whatever I do I can't lose face in front of you or them
For the intensity of this is more than any can comprehend
You don't understand the responsibility I hold
But don't feel bad 'cause nor I was I told
