Caretaker's Job

Why do I see faces in faraway places
Of people so hungry and cold?
What have we been saying with words we've been praying-
Why isn't our action as bold?

How long must we wonder of God way up yonder
And never reach out to a soul?
Well maybe it's time we got straight in our minds
Our caretaker's job here below.

To make life worth living use talents you're given-
No matter how great or how small-
And soon we'lll discover we've touched one another
The way that our Lord touched us all.
