Taking It Back

I saw the mountain, as it crumbled
I saw the mountain, as it crumbled beneath my feet
Rock by Rock
Stone by Stone
I watched them tumble into a Valley of Defeat.
And my spirit was aware of the powerful presence that had showed up there.
One by one those stones began to roll
Day by Day I began to take back everything that the devil from me had stole
Prayer was increased
They were as sweet incense that burned and never ceased
The word to my soul was fed and my spirit at once became under attack
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
The Lord held me close to his bosom as a few more rocks fell
"Child, when I get through with you, Oh, the testimony that you must tell.
Tell them about your sins and how in me I gave you victory
Tell them about the process I'm taking you through to cleanse your iniquity
Tell them about the struggle of your conversion from a wretch to gold that's been
refined.
Remind them of my powers and how I can still turn their waters into sweet wine
Child don't be just another sample but allow me to set up and you be an example of
who I am and what I do and that these words not only to minister to them but also to
you."
This is no show or some other Poetic Stage Act
This is the moving of a mountain
And I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
I'm taking back the power that was given to me while I developed inside my mothers
wound
I'm taking back in control of my home and welcoming the spirit of God into each
and every room
I'm taking back my praise that the devil told me was useless, weak and whack
But guess what?
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
Everything that I am and for every sin in which I could write a story
I've laid them before the alter and he is going to use those very things to bring him
the glory
I've already been warned that some loved ones and friends won't even begin to
understand
But I've got to go on anyway and make known he lives to every girl, boy and man
I've got to make that sacrificial journey up the mountain with Faith that the Holy
Spirit will nudge me a push
I've got to go and do what I was called for and believe that I too have a ram in the
bush
I've got to sacrifice my complete heart, complete thoughts and my body in order to
receive my crown
He said that if I seeked first his kingdom, he would tear that old sinful mountain
down.
He said he'd supply my needs and there would be nothing that my children and I
would lack
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
We were not put here without a purpose so this sinful nature I have to let the spirit
kill
We were created in likeness to him and his purpose for us shall be fulfilled
Every time the enemy sneaks up and temptation surfaces and begins to rise
My mind goes back to how he suffered and I imagine how the blood ran from his
ears and from his eyes.
I imagine in my mind, how Mary laid at his feet and the sound of her cry as she wept
The Spirit reminds me that he died in order to pay all of my debt and still today,
every promise from him has been kept.
I come face to face with those lil demons and in his name I command them to flee
I'll go ahead and warn them that if the try and return, even more of God's word will
abide in me
Because I'm determined not to die and his death for me be in vain
But I'm going to live and proclaim that he is my source and he is my being and I'm
going on in Jesus' Name.
I've got to keep moving and running because this is definitely not the time to stop or
even have slack
I've got to take it back
I've got to take it back
I've got to take it back
I'm in the process to move into position whiled grounded in him with my feet
strongly set
I am receiving restoration while his voice echoes that he's not even finished yet
To look at the destruction of the mountain, it looks different and my spirit doesn't
feel the same
While the rocks and stones are still tumbling, my spirit will get even stronger in
Jesus' name.
And I will constantly utter and declare how the battle was won when my spirit
became under attack
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
I'm taking it back
He has been too good to me to sit down and be still and not tell of how he is
restoring my soul
I will forever be thankful and I will forever watch how fast those rocks and stones
roll.
For every soul that is under the sound of my voice, I want you to know that Today,
Hell has been shook
Because My lord said that our price, on Calvary was paid and that because of him
and Faith, everything has already been took
